About the Foodies

Julie and Mary have been friends since they can remember.  They grew up together in Placerville, CA, until Julie and her family moved to Wisconsin in 2nd grade. (Imagine little 2nd grade Mary: "What?  Wisconsin?  Is that in Africa?")  But Julie came back to California to visit every summer and to this day she and Mary remain the best of friends.

Julie has a B.S. in Theater and Speech Education, minor in French Education, from Brigham Young University, Idaho.  She served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months in the Denmark, Copenhagen mission and has recently returned.  It was Julie's brilliant idea to start this little food blog, and she has been at the heart of it ever since. Her energy and pizzazz have been missed since she's been serving her mission, so we're excited to have her back!

Mary has a B.A. in English, minors in Spanish and Creative Writing, from Southern Virginia University.  She is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at California State University, Fresno.  She loves to write (too much, some say) and also has a bit of an obsession with food.  Although her studies have gotten the better of her dedication to blogging, she's back in the saddle now that Julie has returned.

Both friends love a good book or play, and they both love food.  So they decided to start a blog combining fiction, food, and friendship.  Yeah, that sounds pretty cheesy, but it's true!  Feel free to join them as they go on a potentially disastrous and undoubtedly hilarious adventure of scrumptious proportions.

~~~Guest Foodies!~~~
Anna is a friend of Mary's from SVU.  She has a B.S. in Dietetics from Brigham Young University. She pitched in on A Tale of 2 Foodies while Julie was on her mission.
